“What a week” is the new track from an L.A.-based duo, Michael Nicastro and Matthew Lieverman, under the guise of Magic Bronson. The pair make woozy electronic soul, and the single builds on their highly regarded self-titled EP, which dropped earlier in the year. After an opening that’s shrouded in echo and hints at the usual drip-dry emotive plodder that seems to be something of a go to mode for producers these days. Magic Bronson are having none of that, instead delivering this gently pulsating quasi house track with a large dose of melodic pop flavours.
