Tr: Vuvuvultures – Arty Party / Song Bot

Oh Vuvuvultures, how could we ignore you. The London-based band, who we have fawned over on a number of occasions in the last year, not least for their album Push/Pull, which showed the band – Vocalist Harmony Boucher with Paul Ressel on guitars and a rhythm section of Nicole Bettencourt Coelho and Matt Christensen, could make darkly euphoric, twisted synth pop.

Now they’re back with the first of four 7inch AA side singles due for release this year. The first, Arty Party and Song Bot, is out now, and will be followed by ‘II’, ‘III’ and ‘IV’ later on in the year, with a final release ‘V’, being a 12” anthology with 2 exclusive tracks.

Right from the outset, Song Bot has this fearful  buzzing bass undercurrent about it, conjuring images of industrial desolation. There’s these eerie, almost ghostly hints at vocal harmonies, otherwise its an instrumental track.

Welcome back Vuvuvultures.
