Manchester Prog metallers Lute have released a new, third, single ‘Dead And Buried’ following on from previous releases Fears and Victims of the Fall. It’s full of extended riffs, gear and direction changes and understated vocals in the verse at least, until the shackles come off in the chorus.

The band sail close to Tool territory in Dead and Buried (not a bad thing) but once they find their own individual voice they are going to be a true force to be reckoned with. The musicianship on this is well crafted, it’s a powerhouse of a song and if anything shows that this band have a capacity to make some great things in the future.
