See: Editors reveal new video for ‘The Weight’

Ahead of the release of their fourth studio album, “The Weight of Your Love”, and as a counterpart to the lead single from the album, “A Ton Of Love”, Editors have also released a video to accompany the opening track from the album “The Weight”.

The black and white video was shot in Nashville, Tennessee while they were recording the album and the man behind the camera was guitarist Justin Lockey’s brother James. Together the brothers already collaborate on film as Hand Held Cine Club and have made videos for the likes of Kate Nash and Frightened Rabbit.

“The Weight” features footage of the band rehearsing and recording, and seeing some of the ‘sights’ of Nashville, but it’s in the recordings of wobbly, out-of-focus CCTV of the band, and in the night-time shots of the city that the video really matches and amplifies the pulsating intensity and threat of the music.

“A Ton of Love” is released on the 17th of June and the digital download of the single features both “The Weight” and non-album track “The Sting”. The album itself comes out on 1 July on Play It Again Sam and before that Editors are playing their first UK show this year at Glastonbury.
