News: Cat Burns announces Australian headline tour for October 2026

Cat Burns is coming to Australia, announcing a headline tour set for October 2026.

Burns’ rise has never felt rushed. Since her 2017 debut ‘Fallen Out of Love’, she’s carved out a space that sits somewhere between pop clarity and something more intimate. That trajectory snapped into focus with 2020’s ‘Go’, a track that found a second life online before climbing to number two on the UK charts in 2022.

Her debut album, Early Twenties, released in 2024, pushed that further. A record shaped by self-reflection rather than spectacle, it leaned into the kind of songwriting that doesn’t try to overwhelm. Instead, it lingers — guitar-led, direct, and threaded with a gospel warmth that never tips into excess.

That blend speaks to her influences. You can trace lines back to Kirk Franklin, Destiny’s Child and Tracy Chapman, alongside pop instincts sharpened by artists like Anne-Marie and Lily Allen. But what holds it together is Burns’ voice — unmistakably British, conversational, and grounded in the everyday.

It’s also earned recognition. Three BRIT Award nominations have followed, not as a sudden breakthrough but as a reflection of momentum that’s been building for years.

Live, that approach tends to sharpen rather than expand. Burns doesn’t need excess to connect; the songs do the work. That makes this Australian run feel less like a spectacle and more like an invitation — a chance to hear those moments up close, in real time.
