News: Clara Pople Shares Dreamy & Emotive new Single ‘Hot Moon’

Clara Pople blends neo-soul undertones and striking alternative-pop on the striking and beautifully constructed new single ‘Hot Moon’.

A hypnotic and wonderfully balanced example of how to gradually build a soundscape step by step, ‘Hot Moon’ moves from it’s minimal slow four to floor and vocal loop of the start, flourishing into a beautiful and melancholic soundscape of synths and textural guitar. With delicate, controlled lead vocals from Pople, the tracks infectiously catchy chorus melody shines bright over the SOHN-esque instrumental layering, ending with a stunning final iteration as layers of vocal harmonies dance with a sense of freedom.

In her own words, Clara Pople describes “Hot Moon” as an anthem of empowerment, especially for women and those who feel overwhelmed by the forces of nature. She explains, “Hot Moon is about the ebb and flow of being a woman—the way nature can shape our moods and how sometimes, despite our resistance, we just have to let go and embrace the madness.”

Clara’s reflections on the female experience are deeply rooted in her upbringing. She credits her resilience to growing up in a family of strong matriarchs and her education in an all-girls school, where she learned to navigate challenges with confidence and strength. Surrounded by empowering women both in her personal life and within the pop industry, Clara has carved out a space for herself in the often difficult music landscape, bringing with her a sense of authenticity and purpose.

But Clara’s artistic vision goes beyond her own music. After moving onto a boat, she started hosting monthly Boat Gigs—a creative endeavor that has blossomed into a major underground success. These intimate events, held aboard her boat, offer emerging artists a rare opportunity to perform in a supportive environment, free from the pressures of self-promotion and over-commercialization. With carefully curated lineups of three up-and-coming musicians each month, the gigs provide a built-in crowd and guaranteed pay, creating an atmosphere where the focus is solely on the music and community.

Clara reflects on the inspiration behind her Boat Gigs: “I needed a venue where I could play my own shows, so I thought, why not create one? The boat felt perfect, and it’s amazing to see how it’s become a space not just for me but for other artists who need a break from the usual hustle. It’s what gigs should be—intimate, supportive, and all about the music.”

The Boat Gigs have gained a loyal following, with every event selling out so far, thanks to their relaxed, communal vibe and a BYOB policy that keeps things accessible. For both performers and audiences alike, it’s a chance to connect with music in its purest form, away from the distractions of commercial venues.

Not only a fascinating artist in her own right, but a passionate promoter, Clara Pople is both one to watch as an artist and as a champion of new music.
