Scottish pop-rock mainstays Deacon Blue will return to Australia in January and February 2026, their first shows here since 2023. The run marks a major milestone — the band’s 40th anniversary — alongside the release of their latest studio album The Great Western Road.

Formed in Glasgow in 1985 and named after the Steely Dan track “Deacon Blues,” the group — have built a career on heartfelt songs and widescreen pop arrangements. With more than seven million albums sold and twelve UK Top 40 singles, they remain one of Scotland’s most enduring exports.

The upcoming tour will celebrate the sweep of their catalogue. Expect the anthems that have defined them — Dignity, Real Gone Kid, I’ll Never Fall In Love Again, Fergus Sings the Blues — alongside tracks from The Great Western Road. That new record is both a reflection on four decades together and a forward-looking statement, marked by honesty, warmth and a willingness to keep pushing their sound.

For Australian fans, the setlist will be a carefully shaped mix of familiar favourites and fresh material, bridging arena-sized choruses with more intimate moments. It’s a chance to revisit Raintown’s soulful grit, while also hearing how Deacon Blue continue to evolve in 2026.
