News: Doja Cat Plots First-Ever Arena Tour of Australia & NZ

Doja Cat has announced her first-ever arena tour of Australia and New Zealand as part of the Ma Vie World Tour. The run opens at Auckland’s Spark Arena on 18 November before heading to Perth, Melbourne, Brisbane and wrapping at Sydney’s Qudos Bank Arena on 1 December. The wider tour will also hit Manila, Tokyo, and close out in Kaohsiung on 21 December.

The announcement coincides with her new single “Jealous Type”, produced by Jack Antonoff (Taylor Swift, Lorde) and Y2K (Ariana Grande, Tate McRae). Directed by Boni Mata and filmed in Los Angeles, the video follows her recent tease of the track in Marc Jacobs’ Summer ’25 campaign. The single leads into her highly anticipated fifth studio album Vie, due out 26 September.

Fresh from headlining San Francisco’s Outside Lands Festival, Doja Cat debuted “Jealous Type” on stage before surprising fans with an album listening party at legendary drag venue Oasis. It follows her 2024 deluxe release Scarlet 2 CLAUDE and last year’s Scarlet, which featured hits “Paint the Town Red” and “Agora Hills”.

Since first uploading music to SoundCloud as a teenager, Doja Cat has grown into one of pop’s most inventive and unpredictable voices. Her 2018 breakout “MOOO!” set the tone for a career that’s moved seamlessly between viral internet stardom and chart-topping global hits. Albums like Hot Pink (2019), featuring the GRAMMY-nominated smash “Say So”, and Planet Her (2021), home to the SZA collaboration “Kiss Me More”, cemented her as a boundary-pushing artist capable of dominating both radio and TikTok.

With multiple GRAMMY nominations, one win, and a string of Billboard No.1s, Doja Cat now steps into her Vie era — one that signals her biggest shows in the Southern Hemisphere to date. Tickets for Australia and New Zealand go on presale 25 August, with general release from 28 August.
