In a year marked by rapid ascension, DJ Roko unleashes his fifth single ‘By Your Side’. Bringing samba Rhythms and punching EDM, the track offers and infectious sense of energy and joy.

Choppy Nile Rogers-esque guitar, samba agogo rhythms, and shuffling drum arrangements underpin Roko’s auto-tuned vocals as a cut vocal sample leads the vocal chorus.

“Family is important to me and the song is dedicated to all families united together,” DJ Roko shares, highlighting the personal inspiration behind his music.

DJ Roko, born Roland Kieff, is a multifaceted artist—producer, songwriter, and DJ. His journey began in the West Midlands and now continues in Glasgow, drawing inspiration from EDM giants like Tiesto, David Guetta, and Calvin Harris. Like these luminaries, DJ Roko is making a significant mark on the genre.

At his core, DJ Roko is a storyteller, weaving narratives that uplift and unite. His music celebrates themes of love and dance, painting vivid scenes of people coming together under a shared rhythm.

Roko’s passion for music ignited at seventeen when he learned to DJ, captivating audiences with his dynamic performances. This laid the groundwork for his future success. By the mid-1990s, Roland ventured into songwriting and production, collaborating with like-minded musicians to create genre-defying music that resonated globally. Despite facing rejections from various record labels, he persisted, transforming setbacks into stepping stones and now making some of the best and most infectious music of his career.
