One year after Oasis stunned the music world by returning to the stage for their first live performance together in 16 years, the band’s extraordinary comeback is set to be immortalised in Don’t Look Back In Anger, with the first teaser trailer for the highly anticipated documentary out now.
The feature-length documentary follows Liam and Noel Gallagher throughout the historic Oasis Live ’25 reunion tour, capturing what became one of the defining musical events of 2025. The film will open in select IMAX and Australian cinemas this September before streaming globally on Disney+ later this year.
Created by BAFTA and Academy Award-nominated writer Steven Knight (Peaky Blinders, A Thousand Blows) and directed by Dylan Southern and Will Lovelace (Shut Up and Play the Hits, Meet Me in the Bathroom), Don’t Look Back In Anger promises an intimate portrait of the reunion that many fans believed would never happen.
The documentary combines extensive rehearsal, backstage and onstage footage with unprecedented access to the Gallagher brothers throughout the tour. Most notably, it features the first joint interviews with Liam and Noel in more than two decades, offering an opportunity to reflect on the reunion in their own words while revisiting the band’s remarkable history.
Rather than simply documenting a concert tour, the film explores the wider cultural significance of Oasis’ return, examining the emotional response from audiences around the world and the enduring connection generations of fans continue to have with the band’s music.
Produced by Magna Studios and presented by Sony Music Vision in association with Sony Music Entertainment UK, the documentary also boasts an acclaimed creative team behind the camera. Producers Sam Bridger and Guy Heeley are joined by cinematographer Haris Zambarloukos, whose credits include Belfast and Beetlejuice Beetlejuice, while Oscar-winning sound mixers James Mather and Tarn Willers bring the band’s stadium-sized performances to the screen.
With never-before-seen footage and unparalleled access to one of rock’s most celebrated reunions, Don’t Look Back In Anger looks set to become essential viewing for anyone who witnessed, or wished they had witnessed, Oasis’ remarkable return.
