Jacksonville indie five-piece flipturn will make their Australian debut this November and December, performing headline shows in Brisbane, Melbourne and Sydney, as well as two sets at Rolling Sets Festival.

The visit follows a year of significant momentum for the band, who recently played Lollapalooza and hosted a sold-out official afterparty in Chicago alongside Australian duo Old Mervs. The two acts have also collaborated on a new version of flipturn’s title track “Burnout Days”, set for release on August 20.

Since forming in high school, flipturn have built a steady international following, bolstered by standout performances at Bonnaroo, Governor’s Ball and Lollapalooza, and support slots with artists including Two Door Cinema Club and Mt. Joy.

Known for tracks like “August”, “Sad Disco” and “Swim Between Trees”, flipturn have amassed over 300 million streams across a discography that stretches from 2017’s Heavy Colors EP to their most recent full-length, Burnout Days, praised for its melodic depth and collaborative spirit.

The Australian run begins at Rolling Sets Festival in Tweed Heads, with headline shows at The Brightside (Brisbane), Corner Hotel (Melbourne) and Metro Theatre (Sydney) before wrapping up on the Central Coast.
