After two decades of bringing international artists to Australian stages, Finely Tuned is marking the milestone with its most ambitious project yet. FORMA is a new open-air concert series and cultural hub set to transform Tumbalong Park in Sydney across two weekends from 26 November to 6 December, bringing together legendary acts, contemporary favourites and emerging artists in one of the city’s most striking waterfront locations.
Designed as more than a traditional festival, FORMA combines live music with curated food, pop-up bars, family programming and public spaces, creating a destination that extends beyond the concerts themselves. Across eleven days, the series embraces artists spanning funk, soul, indie rock, electronic music, pop, reggae and alternative music, reflecting Finely Tuned’s long-standing reputation for eclectic programming.
Opening weekend begins with a formidable pairing of Kool & The Gang, led by founding bassist Robert “Kool” Bell, and Sister Sledge featuring Sledgendary, fronted by original member Debbie Sledge alongside the next generation of the Sledge family. Between them, the two groups bring decades of classics including Celebration, Get Down On It, Jungle Boogie and We Are Family, with Wrong Way Up opening the evening.
The following night, Anjunadeep Open Air Sydney returns with its largest Australian edition to date. The celebrated electronic imprint, founded by Above & Beyond, will once again transform Tumbalong Park into a sunset-to-late-night celebration of melodic house, ambient and progressive electronic music, with the full artist lineup still to be announced.
The first weekend concludes with one of Australia’s strongest indie line-ups. Lime Cordiale headline alongside fellow ARIA chart-toppers Pacific Avenue, whose second album Lovesick Sentimental continues the band’s rapid rise. They are joined by Perth favourites Great Gable, Sydney indie-pop duo Pamela, and emerging alt-pop songwriter Lola Scott, creating a showcase of Australian guitar music across generations.
Week two shifts gears with Peach PRC, who arrives fresh from the release of her debut album Porcelain and a run of sold-out international headline tours. Her appearance is followed by New Zealand phenomenon SIX60, whose blend of reggae, rock and soul has made them the country’s biggest live act, with Australia-based Kiwi collective SUB-TRIBEjoining the bill.
Australian rock royalty Hoodoo Gurus then bring their Rewind Tour – All Killer, No Filler to FORMA as part of their 45th anniversary celebrations, joined by fellow legends RATCAT and The Stems for a night celebrating the enduring strength of Australian guitar music.
Beyond the performances, FORMA has been designed with sustainability at its core. Partnering with Cool Planet and Greenfleet, organisers aim to deliver a carbon-negative event by offsetting more than 120 per cent of its calculated emissions while contributing to the restoration of native Australian forests.
With one final headline act still to be announced, FORMA arrives as an ambitious new fixture on Sydney’s cultural calendar, bringing together international icons, homegrown favourites and the next generation of artists beneath the city skyline.
