After making their Australian debut last year alongside Swedish metalcore outfit thrown, Germany’s Half Me are set to return this October, this time stepping out on their own for their first-ever headline tour of the country.
The Hamburg band have steadily established themselves as one of the more prominent names emerging from Europe’s contemporary metalcore scene. Since forming in 2018, vocalist Christopher Zühlke, guitarists Christopher Hesse, bassist Tobias Max Sajons and drummer Maximilian Eisersdorff have combined tightly wound modern production with a heavier, more abrasive edge, building their profile through extensive touring and a growing catalogue of releases.
Following their signing to Arising Empire in 2021, Half Me introduced themselves with ‘Trauma Culture’ before releasing their debut album, Soma, in 2023. Since then, the band have maintained a relentless schedule, sharing stages with the likes of Northlane, Whitechapel, The Ghost Inside, LANDMVRKS and Stray From The Path, while also undertaking tours across Europe, the United States and Japan.
Their latest single, ‘Weather Eye’, continues that trajectory. Built around crushing riffs and uncompromising intensity, the track explores themes of frustration and disillusionment, offering little in the way of easy answers. It also serves as another indication of the direction Half Me have pursued since the release of their 2025 OPIUM EP.
Having already introduced themselves to Australian audiences on the sold-out thrown tour, Half Me’s return as headliners marks the next step in the band’s growing international story, bringing one of Germany’s most closely watched heavy acts back to local stages this spring.
