J. Cole’s long-awaited Australian return is getting close, with The Fall-Off Tour landing here in November for his first solo headline dates in the country in nine years.
The Australian leg begins at Brisbane Entertainment Centre on November 25 before heading to Melbourne for two nights at Rod Laver Arena on November 28 and 29. Cole then arrives in Sydney for back-to-back shows at Afterpay Arena on December 1 and 2, with the second Melbourne and Sydney dates added following demand.
There’s considerably more weight behind these shows than the usual album-tour cycle. The Fall-Off Tour is Cole’s first solo headline tour in five years, following 2021’s The Off-Season Tour, and his first full global run since the 4 Your Eyez Only World Tour in 2017. After beginning in North America in July, the tour moves through Europe and the UK before finally reaching Australia and New Zealand.
At the centre of it is The Fall Off, Cole’s seventh studio album, released earlier this year via Cole World, Inc. The record brings in an unusually broad cast of guests, including Burna Boy, Erykah Badu, Future, Morray, Petey Pablo, PJ and Tems.
Cole has presented The Fall Off as his final album project, giving this world tour an added significance after nearly two decades of releases. From his early mixtapes through to becoming one of the defining rappers of his generation, he has largely built his reputation around detailed storytelling, introspection and doing things his own way.
The Australian wait is almost over. Nine years after his last headline dates here, Cole returns with a new album, a vast catalogue behind him and five arena shows across Brisbane, Melbourne and Sydney.
