Following the success of The Art of The Lie, John Grant is set for a packed 2025. Currently touring Australia, with a US tour in April, Grant will also be writing songs for—and performing in—A Single Man, a new ballet adaptation of Christopher Isherwood’s novel. The production, staged by The Royal Ballet and Factory International, will run in Manchester in early July.
Directed and choreographed by Jonathan Watkins, the ballet will feature former Royal Ballet Principal Edward Watson as George, a gay professor navigating life in 1960s California. Grant will perform live, representing the character’s internal monologue. Speaking about the project, he said: “After meeting with Jonathan and hearing him speak about his passion and vision, I knew I had to have a part in interpreting this masterpiece. It is truly an honour.”
In addition to A Single Man, Grant has announced a 10-date UK and Ireland tour for October, including a stop at London’s Troxy. Full dates below:
