Montreal-born singer-songwriter Jonathan Roy has released his latest single, ‘Back To The Moon,’ and accompanying music video on April 21st, showcasing stunning landscapes and breathtaking scenery filmed in the same location as the classic film Jurassic Park on the island of Oahu, Hawaii.

Jonathan’s journey to this point has been one of self-discovery and artistic growth, leading him to take a road trip across the US in a 1989 Ford Ultra RV to find inspiration. His latest track ‘Back To The Moon’ captures the essence of his psychedelic experience in a sweet little tune that takes listeners on an interstellar journey.

The music video for ‘Back To The Moon’, offers a euphoric live performance of the track filmed in a stunning location in Hawaii, where Jonathan was invited to perform with Earth, Wind, and Fire.

Jonathan explains: “Filming the video for ‘“‘Back to The Moon’ in Jurassic Park on the beautiful island of Oahu, Hawaii was an unforgettable experience. After opening up for Earth, Wind and Fire and having the whole band in Hawaii, we knew we had to do something special with this song. The stunning scenery and breathtaking landscapes of Jurassic Park provided the perfect backdrop for our cosmic adventure. Go to youtube to see the final product and join us on this magical journey to the moon!”

Jonathan’s creative journey has been one of defying convention in pursuit of his art. Initially, he thought he was destined to play professional hockey like his father, NHL netminder Patrick Roy, but he hung up his skates and pursued his real passion for music.

Jonathan’s debut album, ‘What I’ve Become,’ was released in 2009, followed by ‘Found My Way’ in 2010 and his first French-language record, ‘La Route,’ in 2011. With over 400,000 YouTube subscribers and over 50 million streams on Spotify alone, his 2021 EP, ‘My Lullaby,'”‘ features the emotionally charged track “Keeping Me Alive,” which quickly reached over 100 million streams on YouTube and was certified Gold in Canada.

Jonathan Roy’s latest release, ‘Back To The Moon,’ is another stunning addition to his repertoire, demonstrating his continued growth and evolution as an artist.
