Virginia-born, LA-based songwriter Kate Bollinger will make her long-awaited Australian debut this January, with headline shows locked in for Sydney, Melbourne, Brisbane and Perth.

Having shared stages with Faye Webster, Tennis and Devendra Banhart, Bollinger has become known for her warm, intimate live shows that blur indie pop, folk and psych-rock. Her acclaimed debut album Songs From A Thousand Frames of Mind (Ghostly International, 2024) earned wide praise, with Stereogum calling it “strikingly beautiful” and The FADER hailing it as “an impeccable suite of quietly rich indie pop.”

Today she adds another layer with Songs From A Thousand Frames of Mind (Deluxe), revisiting her material in stripped-back, home-recorded forms. “I wanted to bring them closer to what they were when I first wrote them,” she explains. Highlights include a reimagined “Lonely (Virginia Strings Version)” with sweeping orchestral touches and a lo-fi cassette take on “Any Day Now” with producer Jackson MacIntosh.

Bollinger’s 2025 also sees her appear on Cut Copy’s latest single Belong To You, her vocals gliding through the Australian dance act’s luminous production. With the deluxe album release, the collaboration, and her first trip Down Under, Bollinger’s moment feels especially vivid.

For Australian audiences, January’s shows will be an introduction to an artist who quietly reshapes indie pop tradition with each release—turning nostalgia into something entirely new.
