A decade ago, Lost Dinosaurs‘ Wellness album arrived carrying the impossible weight that often follows a beloved indie debut, landing in the long shadow of In A Million Years while the Brisbane band tried to figure out who they were becoming in real time. Ten years later, those same songs have taken on an entirely different life.
Now, Last Dinosaurs are heading back across Australia this June to celebrate the anniversary of Wellness, bringing Californian indie-rock favourites Bad Suns along for the ride. The tour also follows the release of Wellnxss, a reimagined version of the album featuring five new tracks and a fresh perspective on a record the band themselves once viewed with uncertainty.
“Ten years ago, Wellness felt like this huge pressure point for us,” Sean Caskey reflects. “I used to look back on this album as a bit of a failure… but now I see it as the catalyst for the way we make music today.” That reassessment sits at the centre of this anniversary run. Rather than simply revisiting old material for nostalgia’s sake, the band seem genuinely interested in examining how those songs have evolved alongside them.
Across six albums, major festival appearances at Lollapalooza, Splendour In The Grass and Corona Capital, plus support slots alongside Florence + The Machine, Foals and Foster The People, the band have steadily built an international audience that continues to grow well beyond Australia. In 2025 alone, they pulled in more than 29 million streams, proof that the glossy guitar lines and wistful indie-pop energy that first defined them still resonate deeply.
