News: Sleaford Mods Announce 2026 Australia & NZ Tour and Drop New Single ‘Megaton’

Britain’s most unflinching duo, Sleaford Mods, are set to return to Australia and New Zealand in April 2026 for a full headline run — their first visit since tearing through Vivid LIVE and Dark Mofo in 2023. The tour will kick off in Perth at Walyalup Fremantle Arts Centre Front Lawn before rolling through Melbourne, Sydney, Adelaide, Brisbane, Wellington, and Auckland.

Pre-sale tickets go live from 10am AEDT Thursday 16 October, with general sale following on Friday 17 October via handsometours.com.

The return follows the release of the band’s new single ‘Megaton’, their first material since 2023’s UK GRIM. The track is an explosive reminder of what Jason Williamson and Andrew Fearn do best: snarling social commentary over minimalist beats, cutting through the noise of modern life with wit and venom. Williamson describes the song as “an absolute banger” and teased that new material might arrive before they hit the road again: “We took a year off ’cause I needed to get my nails did, and now we’re itching to get back out there and play live… we’re gagging for it.”

The band’s commitment to social action continues too — they’ve partnered with PLUS1 to donate $1 from every ticket sold to War Child, supporting children affected by conflict. “Every ticket sold will directly support our work protecting, educating, and standing up for children affected by war,” said War Child’s Clare Sanders-Wright.

Directed by Nick Waplington, the video for ‘Megaton’ was filmed at Speaker’s Corner in London’s Hyde Park, the historic home of open speech and protest. “At a time when freedom of expression feels under threat, it felt perfect to collaborate with the Mods at one of Britain’s oldest bastions of free speech,” Waplington said.

Sleaford Mods’ ‘Megaton’ is out now across all platforms.
