News: Snail Mail enters a new chapter with Ricochet and major tour plans

US singer songwriter Snail Mail (Lindsey Jordan) is preparing to hit the road once more, announcing a co-headline US tour with longtime friend and fellow indie-rock luminary Soccer Mommy.

Beginning in Charlotte, North Carolina on 30 September and wrapping up in Greenfield on 24 October, the tour arrives after a busy period for Jordan, who is also set to return to London for her first UK shows since 2023 with a pair of dates at the Electric Ballroom later this month. For fans, the pairing with Soccer Mommy represents something of a dream bill, bringing together two artists whose careers have evolved in parallel since they first emerged as defining voices of a new generation of indie rock.

The announcement follows the release of Ricochet, Snail Mail’s first album in five years. The record finds Jordan confronting subjects far weightier than the romantic turbulence that shaped her earlier work. Across its eleven tracks, Ricochet wrestles with mortality, alienation and the uneasy recognition that life continues to move forward regardless of personal turmoil. In support of the album, Jordan returned to The Tonight Show Starring Jimmy Fallon to perform the standout single ‘Tractor Beam’, reaffirming her reputation as one of the most compelling songwriters of her generation.

With Ricochet already proving to be one of 2026’s most celebrated indie releases, Snail Mail’s reunion with Soccer Mommy promises to be one of the autumn’s most anticipated tours.
