News: Sum 41 and Simple Plan ‘The Blame Canada Tour’

Now halfway through the US ‘Blame Canada Tour’, Sum 41 performing ‘All Killer, No Filler’ and Simple Plan performing ‘No Pads, No Helmets…Just Balls’ will be heading over to Europe in autumn with a run of gigs beginning in Germany and ending with their sole UK show in London on October 21. As the second leg of the US tour commences, the co-headliners will be supported by Magnolia Park.

Sum 41 announced earlier this year their plans to release a double album titled ‘Heaven and Hell’, with the first half of the album leaning into their pop punk roots and the second half being purely metal. There is no updated release date as yet, but lead vocalist Deryck Whibley has stated it is the most ambitious album of the band’s career.

Simple Plan released their 6th album ‘Harder Than It Looks’ back in May (their first release without major label backing), following very much the same pop-punk sound that they are synonymous with. The album features a collaboration with Deryck from Sum 41 who provides guest vocals on ‘Ruin My Life’ – check out the music video below:
