News: Swedish Rock Powerhouse Self Deception Announce Australian Tour

Sweden’s Self Deception are bringing their explosive mix of heavy riffs and pop-laced hooks Down Under for the first time, announcing their debut Australian headline tour following a sold-out European arena run. With over 75 million Spotify streams and a growing global following, the Stockholm four-piece have built a reputation as one of the most dynamic forces in modern rock.

Australian audiences already know what to expect. The band made a seismic impression in 2023 while touring with Electric Callboy, leaving fans battered, euphoric, and begging for more. Their shows are chaos wrapped in confetti — a euphoric fusion of mosh pit aggression and pure pop melody that proves catharsis can be both loud and joyful.

Formed in 2005 through a happy accident — a wrong-number text between frontman Andreas Clark and drummer Erik Eklund — Self Deception have since evolved into Sweden’s most exciting rock export. Their blend of arena-sized energy and raw emotion has made them a global name in heavy alt-pop. With two acclaimed studio albums, including the 2023 chart-topper You Are Only As Sick As Your Secrets, the band’s catalogue has produced fan favourites like Fight Fire With Gasoline, Hell and Back, and Stockholm Hearts — songs that hit as hard emotionally as they do sonically.

With their first headline Australian tour, Self Deception are ready to deliver what they do best: an unfiltered, high-octane celebration of sound, sweat, and shared release.
