Tkay Maidza has today announced that she will be supporting Dua Lipa on the forthcoming Australian leg of Lipa’s ‘Future Nostalgia’ stadium tour in November 2022. This has been a busy year for Maidza, who also supported Billie Eilish across some North American dates of her ‘Happier Than Ever’ tour. Maidza has also shared stages with the likes of Mark Ronson, Charli XCX, Rita Ora, RL Grime and Troye Sivan, in the past.

The Zimbabwe-born, LA-via-Adelaide based rapper celebrates the news with the release of a remix of ‘High Beams’ by longtime collaborator JPEGMAFIA, out now via 4AD/Dew Process.

‘High Beams’ first appeared on Maidza’s ‘Last Year Was Weird, Vol. 3’ EP, which was released in late 2021. The EP was praised by PAPER, FADER, Nylon, i-D, MTV, NME, Pedestrian.TV, Rolling Stone and others and won the ARIA Award for Best Soul/R&B Release at the 2021 ceremony.

JPEGMAFIA has reimagined ‘High Beams’ referencing a number of influences that amplifies the sassy efforts of Maidza. Watch the video below.
