Atlanta punk outfit Upchuck will make their long-awaited Australia and New Zealand debut next March, bringing their unfiltered energy to stages in Brisbane, Sydney, Melbourne, Auckland and Wellington, plus a stop at Victoria’s Golden Plains Festival.

Presented by I OH YOU and MG Live, the tour marks a new chapter for the ferocious five-piece — KT (vocals), Mikey Durham (guitar), Hoff (guitar), Ausar Ward (bass) and Chris Salado (drums) — who’ve built a reputation across the US and Europe for their politically charged punk anthems and fearless live performances.

The run follows the release of their third album, I’m Nice Now (Domino), produced and mixed by Ty Segall. It’s a raw, emotionally charged record that pushes their sound into new territory — somewhere between punk, garage rock and blues-inflected intensity.

Formed in 2018 from Atlanta’s skate scene, Upchuck quickly became a word-of-mouth phenomenon. Early singles like Freaky and Facecard earned airplay from Iggy Pop and Henry Rollins, and support slots with Amyl and the Sniffers, King Gizzard & the Lizard Wizard, and Faye Webster (who calls them her favourite band) cemented their standing as one of punk’s most vital new voices.

Each Australian and New Zealand date will feature a standout local support: Blue Diner in Brisbane, Xiao Xiao in Sydney, CLAMM in Melbourne, and DARTZ in Auckland and Wellington.

Tickets go on sale Monday 27 October at 10am local time, with the MG Live presale opening Friday 24 October.
