Brisbane outfit Vinted Vineer return with ‘you’, a tender and unguarded exploration of love’s quiet arrival. Following their recent single ‘zzz’, the track cements the band’s ability to merge psychedelic textures with the warmth of indie pop — crafting soundscapes that feel both intimate and infinite.

Built around a gentle picking pattern and a pulse-like rhythm, ‘you’ unfolds like a memory half-remembered. It’s a song suspended between longing and discovery — the moment when solitude gives way to connection. “It’s about moving from a place of loneliness to suddenly finding love,” the band explain. “Sometimes it arrives in ways you don’t expect.”

Recorded in their home studio with sound engineering by Ruben McIntyre, the song captures the essence of Vinted Vineer’s DIY spirit. The band kept production simple, chasing the authenticity of the demo rather than the perfection of a polished mix.

Vinted Vineer have spent the last couple of years building up their live repertoire, opening for acts such as Velvet Trip, Le Shiv, Nice Biscuit and Sunbeam Sound Machine. Now, the Brisbane quartet are stepping into the spotlight with a hometown single launch at Black Bear Lodge on October 18th. The celebration marks the start of an East Coast tour that will see the band play headline shows across Brunswick Heads, Lennox Head, Sunshine Coast, Wollongong, Sydney and Ballina throughout October and November.

With ‘you’, Vinted Vineer lean into sincerity over spectacle — crafting a track that feels like an exhale, the kind of song that finds you when you need it most.
