PREMIERE: Buñuel tip their hat to David Lynch in suitably intense clip for ‘Roll Call’ off new album ‘Killers Like Us’

If you haven’t heard the new Buñuel album yet, you really need to fix that. The four-piece, helmed by Eugene S. Robinson (also of Oxbow), put out the cathartic Killers Like Us earlier this year; their new single is an ideal introduction to the record if you’re still playing catch-up. We’re premiering its cinematic video, which arrives ahead of a clutch of UK tour dates next week.

The clip for ‘Roll Call’ was directed by Annapaola Martin and finds Robinson giving in to his worst impulses. “Any day that ends with a night that has me hiding behind curtains with the sharpest straight razor I have ever laid eyes, and hands, on is going to be a good day. I don’t think I’ve said the word ‘fuck’ as many times in a single song. Which makes it a perfect soundtrack for the horrors within which we now all live.” Martin adds: “Dealing with the devil is always difficult, [and this song] reminds me how unconscious thoughts can be hard to manage. They are always with us but sometimes they become difficult to control and when they take over, everything becomes possible.”

We’d highly recommend getting along to one of those aforementioned UK dates if you can – they play London, Birmingham, Brighton and Bristol, either side of a continental Europe run whose tour poster looks like this:

Here’s the ‘Roll Call’ video, so watch this and then check out the rest of Killers Like Us, which landed in February through Profound Lore.
