Premiere: Dumb Whales get back in the water with the thumping swagger of ‘Temper Temper’

The dulcet indie chimes of Dumb Whales have been off the sonar for a while now, but it’s great to see them back in the water with their new single, ‘Temper Temper’, which we are delighted and honoured to premiere today.

‘Temper, Temper’ launches with a splash of guitars and fuzzy bass and a whole ocean full of attitude, vocals sneering and louche, driving and dynamic. With a swagger and pose reminding me of those Swedish scallywags The Hives, this is a version of the Dumb Whales that is a lot more aggressive and loud.

It’s a cathartic and thoroughly satisfying return:

‘Temper Temper’ is out tomorrow and available to download and stream here.
