Premiere: Italian post-punks Edna Frau release new video for Angry Face Man; See it here, first

Edna Frau is essentially the side project of Postvorta’s Andrea Fioravanti, but rather than the extreme sounds of that band, he runs down a more catchy, post-punk avenue. The outfit, which includes Vincenzo ‘Vins’ Baruzzi of The Doormen and Annihilator drummer Fabio Alessandrini, have recently released their debut album ‘My Ego is Bigger Than Yours’ out now via Dicembre Records are releasing a new video for the track Angry Face Man, and we’re delighted to have secured the premiere right here on Backseat Mafia today.

Built on this shuffling drum pattern and this onimous sounding guitars and bassline, the vocal teeters on the edge of things as it skirts Editors territory while making sure it keeps slightly to the left in the shadows, with the venom always bubbling away. Despite that, there’s plenty of melodic interest, making it essentially a frayed, blackened pop song. And a damn good one.

The beautifully shot video sees a drag queen revealing both sides of her personality and character. Check it out, here
