See: Ardyn release video for EP title track “The Valley”

Ardyn, aka brother and sister duo Rob and Katy Pearson have just (yesterday) released their new Mike Crossey (Foals, The 1975) produced EP, and to celebrate they’ve gone and streamed a new video for the title track. Taking about the track, the pair say “The Valley was written whilst retreating to the countryside to stay with friends in Devon. It was written one day whilst lost to a hangover looking at this incredible view of a valley. Subconsciously, it was probably about reconnecting with nature because is seems that we’ve all lost our connection to the earth, and this song is kind of a celebration of someone’s reconnection with the valleys they used to love and explore as children.

The track has this wistful, faraway feel about it, led by the rippling mix of guitar and piano and Katy’s tentative but beguiling vocal. As it hits the chorus, so it becomes this sweeping, perfect pop – the tension released and strings arching over everything. Check out the pair performing the song, in and out of the camper van in their new video
