El Paso multi-instrumentalists Holy Wave are back with a new album, Adult Fear, which drops on March 30th via The Reverberation Appreciation Society. Ahead of the release they’ve released a new video for the title track, and it’s one that sees the Austin quintet head into a world inhabited by hazy synths and expansive melodies.
Adult fear begins with these anxiety filled chords and rolling basslines matched by guitar, but it settles into a echoey, pulsating electro/shoegazy track, as the organ wraps its chord sequence around your ears and the melancholy melodies hold you in their grip.
