Safely back home in the United States after getting caught here in Europe as the Covid-19 blew up, Homeboy Sandman has released a new video for the track ‘Home’, taken from last years Dusty album, which dropped on the Mello Music label.
it’s got this almost ska feeling about the beats at the beginning, such do the off beat brass dominate. As the chorus takes over, so the funk plays out more, this Rhodes piano lays down its patterns, with guitar and bass spattered. Over the top, Homeboy lays down his rhymes in his usual inimitable style, weaving his observations (and in this case) and thoughts throughout.
