SEE: PUBLIC ENEMY RELEASES NEW ANIMATED VIDEO – ‘PUBLIC ENEMY NUMBER WON’

Hip Hop’s original champions of change are back with a new track and album. ‘Public Enemy Number Won’ from the album, ‘What You Gonna Do When the Grid Goes Down?’, is an animated visual treat with contributions from Ad-Rock, Beastie Boy Mike D and Run-DMC. The track is a homage to the original 1987 tune and has the dense layered sound we know so well with scatter-shot images to match.

The baton is passed with stellar rhymes throughout but it’s Chuck D’s show to steal. The album features an even bigger guest list of the Who’s Who of Hip-Hop including George Clinton and Cypress Hill.

In a socially and racially divided America, and a world where the wheels seem to be coming off, we need the voice of Public Enemy more than ever to call out the injustice and fight the powers that be.

Both single and album are out now on Def-Jam Recordings.
