US metallers Trivium have released a new video for track Betrayer from their latest album The Sin and the Sentence. The video is tour recap from their North American tour at the end of 2017.

The video begins with vocalist and guitarist Matt Heafy talking about how this run was the highest attended tour ever for the band, in addition bassist Paolo Gregoletto explains that they wanted the shows to be the best the audiences had ever seen Trivium play- whether it was their 10th or 20th show.

Betrayer was Heafy’s favourite song to play on the run and he also states in the video that there was a great response from the fans- they were even singing the guitar parts back to the band. There is a live performance of the song in the video and this rendition is arguably better than the album version. The riffs from guitarist Corey Beaulieu are heavy hitting and the backing vocals from Gregoletto are outstanding, furthermore, the addition of new drummer Alex Bent makes for a refreshing sound for the band.

You can view the video here:

Trivium are embarking on a huge UK tour in April with support from Power Trip, Venom Prison and the Grammy nominated Code Orange, prepare your paracetamol because most likely there will be a few bangovers after these dates.

The live dates are as follows:

Mon 16th April – Bristol O2 Academy

Tue 17th April – Birmingham O2 Academy

Thu 19th April – Glasgow Barrowlands

Fri 20th April – Manchester Academy

Sat 21st April – London O2 Brixton Academy
