See: Warm Digits reveal new video for Better Friction, plus live dates

Warm Digits, aka Newcastle electronica duo Andrew Hodson and Steve Jefferis, have revealed the new video for Better Friction, taken from their recently released third album Wireless world, which dropped through the ever brilliant Memphis Industries. Of the track, Jefferis says “Better Friction” argues that no form of power or technology is without its own mythology. “Better Friction, Better Fiction…” Some energies are better than others; some stories can move a mountain or drown an island. In the video, Mia la Metta is rehoused in a BBC Micro graphics card as 8 bit starbursts and flowers unfurl.”

It’s a stomping electro-glam slice of uplifting pop, which screeching synths, warm harmonies and a tune that’ll get them shoes dancing. Throw in a little bit of Peter Hook treble on the bass, and this sort of Go! Team mish mash of everything thats good and wholesome and it’s frankly to die for.

Check out the video, full of BBC Micro and ASCII graphics, courtesy of Keith Farquharson.

Warm Digits are on tour throughout spring and summer 2018. Please read on for a full list of dates, and for more information on Wireless World.
