The American rock duo who go by the name Zombi will be releasing their first new album in 5 years next month via Relapse Records. With an ominous title of – 2020 the duo of Steve Moore (synthesizers, guitars, bass) and A.E. Paterra (drums) have shared videos in celebration over the last couple of months. Check out Breakthrough & Conquer and Earthscraper we previously reviewed. This month they have shared a video for track ‘No Damage’ which is also taken from the upcoming album.
Opening with a doom sounding guitar riff the suspense is notched up with some gothic synth chords. It’s an infectious track with a groove that really gets under the skin. No Damage sits nicely alongside the two previous tracks. Theres no intricate noodling from the guitar like Breakthrough & Conquer and it takes the heaviness from Earthscraper and goes even further. Another great addition to the guys catalogue.
