Original rockers Cheap Trick have announced their new single, ‘Light Up The Fire’. The track is taken from the bands eagerly anticipated 20th studio album, ‘In Another World’, due 9th April via BMG.
“This band is held together by music,” says Robin Zander. “It’s the super glue that keeps us writing and putting records out. The reason we started the band in the first place was to tour and write songs and put records out. If all that went away, there would be no point then, would there?”
Full on rock riffing with arena sized drums this track is music from back when rock was king. There’s a sense of urgency as the track just rips through the verse and chorus staple, with no sign of stopping. It is a welcome return for these guys.
