Track: Motherland – Waiting

The Northern powerhouse that is Motherland have returned with another track to finish the year off with ‘Waiting’.

The band comments:

“‘Waiting’ is an upbeat pop rock song with lyrics describing the various stages of love wherein the narrator is completely giving their self to someone but doesn’t know where they stand within it all. Compared to our other singles “Waiting” definitely has a stronger pop influence, we’ve been told in the past we have a nostalgic sound that is fresh but familiar and I’d like to say we really bring that exact feeling with this track. The sound really developed in the studio with collaborative input from George Collings at ‘In Heart Studios’ (based in Newcastle) who helped and encouraged us to bring the track to the next level.”

An hugely joyful upbeat start featuring one of the best vocal performances from this band. The guitarist take the lime light on this track with the catchy verses riff and then beef the chorus up turning this track into an anthemic monster. Throw in a perfect crowd pleaser singalong and the band have ended the year with their best track yet.
