Fromed in Russia in 2016, Sex of Insects- aka Anatoly Ylotana (guitar) Alexandra Bartashevich (vocals) and Roman Korablove (Rhythm). have been racking up listens and fans with their recent releases, which have collectively reached 60 thousand plays on Soundcloud. They’ve just released a new track, Not this song again’ and it mixes up these ethereal 4AD style guitars, drenched in echo and effects, which swell into this echoey rather beautiful track, punctuated by this motorik, electronic beats, that wouldn’t be hugely out of place on a tech-house track. Somehow, as it melts in and out of Alexandra Bartashevich’s haunting vocals, it works.
