Track: Technicians – Mistakes

What do you do if you record your debut album, and are unhappy with the results. Well, if you’re Washington DC hardcore punk outfit Technicians, you throw it away and start again, this time doing it yourselves. Although the band had fully recorded their record Now That We’re Home in 2015, the new ‘version’ is about to come out. From it, the band have shared the records first single, Mistakes.

Referencing the likes of Discharge, but also Deftones, Mistakes is a adrenaline soaked slice of melodic punk, built on these furiously muscular guitar riffs and deliberately ragged, splashy drums providing the impetus. Littered with this encompassing melody, guitar solos and classic souted/sung vocal line, its a breathless introduction.
