Countdown to Rebellion – Day 20: Introducing Problem Patterns

A late addition to the festival line up, Problem Patterns is a four-piece feminist queer punk band from Belfast, Northern Ireland, comprising of Beverley Boal, Bethany Crooks, Ciara King and Alanah Smith. Formed in 2018, the band does not have a singular front person, opting instead to switch roles and instruments, to ensure each member in the group has a voice, which they seamlessly. They wowed the crowd in Manchester recently with their incendiary set supporting Le Tigre, which cemented their “ones to watch” status for Rebellion. They claim to be bigger than The Beatles but not as big as Slipknot!!

With the likes of Meryl Streek and Cherym, also making their Rebellion debuts, the Emerald Isle is set to show that it’s not all about Fontaines DC and The Murder Capital.

Problem Patterns are on 23:45-00:15Thu 3rd Aug – on the After Dark Stage in the Arena
