incineration festival locks in its first batch of bands for its 2026 edition, and it is huge

The first names of Incineration Festival 2026 have been revealed

Incineration Festival have announced that BLOOD FIRE DEATH will headline the 2026 edition.

More than twenty years have passed since the metal world lost one of its biggest icons, Thomas ‘Quorthon’ Forsberg of Bathory.

Thomas ‘Quorthon’ Forsberg was instrumental in redefining metal as we knew it. With the seminal 1984 debut, “Bathory”, Quorthon single handedly laid the foundation of what has become the world-renowned phenomenon, that is black metal. There was Venom before him, but musically he laid out the blueprint for myriads of bands that followed, especially from Scandinavia, in the coming decades.

At Incineration Festival, Blood Fire Death – A tribute to Quorthon and the Music of Bathory will feature the same band that fronted the 2024 edition on the 20th anniversary of Quorthon’s passing at Beyond the Gates festival

In addition to the band, the concert will feature guest singers and exclusive musicians with the show being based on Quorthon’s own vision of how he pictured a Bathory concert would look like should he ever bring his music to the live stage.

Incineration Festival are honoured to bring such a monumental show to the United Kingdom.

This day will go down in Black Metal history.

Blood Fire Death sit alongside the previously announced Hypocrisy, Tomb Mold, Vomitory and Vreid with many more to come
