Live Gallery: All Time Low at the Hordern, Sydney 08.11.2023

All Time Low

All Time Low play the Hordern Pavilion tonight to a packed out crowd. The band hail from Towson, Maryland, and have carved out an enthusiastic following with their buoyant blend of emo-pop zest and punk rock energy. The band was formed in 2003 and their name was inspired by lyrics from the song ‘Head on Collision’ by New Found Glory. Their breakthrough came with the release of their third studio album, ‘Nothing Personal,’ in 2009, which debuted at number four on the Billboard 200. The band has achieved five consecutive Top 10 albums on the Billboard Top 200, with their 2007 album ‘So Wrong, It’s Right’ delivering the iconic single ‘Dear Maria, Count Me In’.

Over the years, the band has evolved, incorporating elements of pop and alternative rock, but has maintained a loyal fan base with their infectious energy and relatable lyrics.

The manic energy of raw, uncut youth is palpable tonight. The quartet storms the stage like pirates commandeering a ship, slinging guitars like sabers, and kicking into gear with a sound that’s irresistible. Alex Gaskarth is the ringleader, belting out those power-pop-meets-punk-rock anthems with fervour. The amps are cranked up to eleven and the air’s so thick with electricity you could light up a small town. It’s a spectacular show with the band and audience feeding off one another’s energy.

All Time Low will play Brisbane next.
