Live Gallery: The Stamps Bring Their Debut Album to a Packed Vine Street Room

Vine Street in Redfern is no stranger to live music, but tonight it feels like something else entirely. The space is small and close-knit, more like a communal living room than a conventional venue: wooden chairs scattered across the floor, and clusters of pillows where people settle in cross-legged. Every corner is filled, the air warm with the press of bodies and the hush of anticipation.

The stamps walk on with a quiet confidence, an ease that seems at odds with their youth. They’ve just released their debut album, In All The Ways I Am, and tonight the songs feel like an extension of the room itself—fragile but steady, introspective yet unafraid to open up. The harmonies drift upward and hold, suspending the space in silence before spilling into soft applause.

The stamps first connected at a Walyalup/Fremantle high school, when Scarlett Graham arrived from Toronto on exchange and quickly bonded with Sofia Hourani and Rubina Bertolini. When Scarlett returned home, the friendship held through letters—a ritual that inspired their name and still lingers in the PO Box they’ve opened for fans.

There’s a sense of collective listening here. Nobody’s scrolling phones; everyone’s leaning in, as if each lyric might land differently depending on where you’re sitting. The intimacy of the venue amplifies their connection—it’s less a performance and more like being invited into the band’s circle. It’s unmistakable: these young women are only just beginning, but tonight makes it clear they’re going places—and fast.
