News: Canadian Rap Visionary Night Lovell to Make His ANZ Debut This November

Canadian rapper and producer Night Lovell is set to bring his brooding, atmospheric world to Australia and New Zealand for the first time this November, as part of his 8 Legs Under tour — joined by U.S. underground phenomenon Haarper.

Since his 2014 viral breakout Dark Light, the Ottawa-born artist has carved out a signature sound steeped in heavy bass, nocturnal beats and baritone flow. At just 27, Lovell has amassed more than 1.1 billion Spotify streams across four albums, including his 2023 record I Hope You’re Happy — a project that balances menace and introspection with cinematic precision.

The tour follows Lovell’s run across North America with $uicideboy$ on their Grey Day circuit, where his live set became a dark spectacle of raw energy and controlled chaos. His Australian shows promise that same hypnotic power — a rare chance to experience one of hip hop’s most enigmatic modern figures in full flight.

Joining him on every date is Haarper, the Los Angeles artist whose genre-blurring catalogue has earned more than 500 million streams. Mixing hip hop, garage and punk influences, Haarper’s live performances have become the stuff of online legend — abrasive, unpredictable, and impossible to look away from. His latest track, Born From The Dirt, pushes those boundaries even further, signalling a bold new chapter.
