Dream Theater will return to Australia in 2026 as part of their ongoing 40th Anniversary Tour. The shows mark the band’s first visit since drummer Mike Portnoy rejoined the line-up, completing the original core alongside James LaBrie, John Myung, John Petrucci and Jordan Rudess.
The run begins in Adelaide on 10 February before heading to Melbourne, Sydney and Brisbane. Each date will be presented as An Evening With Dream Theater, with the band performing music from across their four-decade career.
Speaking about the global tour, the band said: “Now we get to bring the show to our fans all across the world, and play a bunch of cities that we haven’t been together in for more than a decade. We can’t wait to continue this historic celebration of 40 years together with everyone in Asia and Australia next year.”
Dream Theater’s return coincides with their sixteenth studio album Parasomnia, released via Inside Out Music/Sony Music. The record sees the reunited line-up channel both their shared history and a renewed sense of momentum.
