Breakout pop vocalist Lauren Spencer Smith is hitting the road this September, bringing her emotionally-charged sophomore album The Art of Being a Mess to stages across Europe, the UK, Australia and New Zealand. The 29-date run kicks off on the 3rd September in Madrid and includes major stops in Paris, London, Sydney, and Auckland.
The Canadian singer-songwriter’s latest single, If Karma Doesn’t Get You (I Will), marks a shift toward darker sonic territory. It’s a gritty, cathartic anthem that shows Spencer Smith flexing a rawer edge compared to the pop balladry that made her a viral sensation. With over 875 million global streams already behind her thanks to Platinum-certified hits like Flowers and Fingers Crossed, she’s clearly out to show there’s more to her than heartbreak confessionals.
Her new album which will be released on 27 June, builds on the emotional complexity introduced in her 2023 debut Mirror, embracing anger, vulnerability, and everything in between. The Art of Being a Mess is a messy, bold portrait of growing pains and self-reclamation, drawing from real experiences and a willingness to confront the chaos of youth head-on.
From small-town beginnings on Vancouver Island to performing on global stages like the MTV VMAs and The Tonight Show, Spencer Smith has carved out a space for emotionally resonant, no-filter pop. Now, with a world tour on the horizon and a more unflinching sound, she’s stepping further into her power.
