News: Post-Y2K Panic Never Sounded So Good: Ninajirachi Drops ‘F*ck My Computer’

Ninajirachi has returned with ‘F*ck My Computer’, a propulsive electroclash single that cements her as one of Australia’s most distinctive voices in electronic music. The track arrives hot on the heels of ‘All I Am’, which topped triple j’s most-played list and marked her first entry into the ARIA singles chart, placing her firmly on a rapidly ascending trajectory.

Part rave nostalgia, part digital diary entry, ‘F*ck My Computer’ leans into the chaotic intimacy of a producer’s most vital tool: the screen. Written, recorded and built within the very machine it calls out, the track feels like a full-circle confession — a high-octane reflection on the emotional toll and creative freedom found inside the feedback loop of late-night production, screen fatigue, and virtual life.

Alongside the single, Ninajirachi has released a visual companion that doubles down on the 2000s digital grunge aesthetic she came of age with. Directed and VFX-styled by Ball Bass John, with contributions from Aria Zarzycki and Billy Zammit, the clip is a pixel-sick joyride through broken desktops, post-Y2K dream logic and glitchy rave euphoria.

The release follows a huge run of milestones for the 24-year-old producer: headline shows across three continents, a co-headline tour with umru, support for Porter Robinson, and recognition from Rolling Stone AU/NZ as part of their Future of Music list. She was also Spotify’s EQUAL Ambassador for April and is gearing up for the fourth edition of her DIY club series Dark Crystal, returning this August with umru and MGNA Crrrta on the bill.

As her sound continues to evolve — splicing pop, noise, trance and hyper-electronic influences — ‘Fuck My Computer’ reads like a manifesto for a post-genre, post-format era.
