Jet City Sports Club are taking the next step. After years of steady rise on the live circuit, the Eora/Sydney trio have announced their debut Australian headline tour, set to roll through Sydney, Brisbane and Melbourne this June. The tour marks a milestone moment for the band, who’ve quietly become a staple of east coast indie lineups with their blend of yearning guitar-pop and wide-eyed sincerity.
Ahead of those shows, the band will support Old Mervs across May, joining the WA duo for a run of east coast dates including Newcastle, Wollongong, Sydney and Canberra. It’s familiar territory for Jet City Sports Club, who’ve shared bills with everyone from Ruby Fields to The Temper Trap, but the headline shows — their first ever — feel like a real changing of gears.
“We’re feeling grateful, a bit nervous, and so ready. It’s our first time headlining, and we honestly can’t wait to play these rooms for you.” Jet City Sports Club
“Coinciding with the tour is their first release of 2025: ‘In Morphine’, out June 5. A track that leans into longing and the fragile glue of connection, the single builds on the band’s growing reputation for writing emotionally clear-eyed indie rock.
With a solid run of festivals behind them — including Party In The Paddock, Lost Paradise and Rolling Sets — and a knack for songs that cut through the noise without shouting, Jet City Sports Club’s debut tour feels not just timely, but overdue.
