New Zealand chanteuse extraordinaire Reb Fountain released her album ‘How Love Bends’ earlier this year to great acclaim – an album including the magnificent singles ‘Nothing Like‘ and ‘Forever‘ (premiered by Backseat Mafia). We said of Fountain that her vocals are like a silken veil in the slipstream, yearning and achingly beautiful.
She has now announced an Eastern Australian tour in September with support from Sarah Belkner and Captain Fighting Machine as well as making an appearance at the Mitch Creek Rock & Blues Festival.
The dates are as follows:
Thursday 18 September
The Trocadero Room, Eora/Sydney, NSW
Support: Sarah Belkner
Tickets
Friday 19 September
Northcote Social Club, Naarm/Melbourne, VIC
Support: Sarah Belkner
Tickets
Saturday 20 September
Mitchell Creek Rock & Blues Festival
Tickets
Sunday 21 September
Black Bear Lodge, Meanjin/Brisbane, QLD
Support: Captain Fighting Machine
Tickets
This is a tour not to be missed – especially considering the intimacy of venues like The Trocadero in Sydney.

In ‘How Love Bends’, Fountain muses on the transformative power of love. She says:
Love is a first kiss, a late night call, an ache of longing that can break your heart or a long drive with the top down to anywhere but here. Love can equally be contained, repressed and longed for as much as it can save, nurture and embolden. Love is a measure of our humanity or how lost we have become.
