Australian indie folk-rock darlings, The Paper Kites, have released a second track from the upcoming At The Roadhouse Project album. Titled Till The Flame Turns Blue, the song sees the band deliver a burningly beautiful love song, with Sam Bentley’s tender vocals and acoustic guitar surrounded by an angelic mix of gorgeous pedal steel, sweetly-injected guitar lines and gospel-style harmonies.
Five albums in, with the sixth about to be released, The Paper Kites are a band who have been at the top of their game for some time, and appear set to continue to ride the crest of that wave.
The excitement for At The Roadhouse Project has now been tantalized by two superbly-crafted singles (including The Sweet Sound Of You, which I covered previously here) and we await with eagerness, the release of the full album.
